AI Solutions Specialist for Business & Engineering (m/w/d) - Job - Career at Botres

AI Solutions Specialist for Business & Engineering (m/w/d)

Cant you ask your AI to do this?

…someone from the project team asked – half joking, half hopeful.

That’s exactly why we’re looking for you: because you turn ideas into working solutions. You’ll build a system that people actually use – in the office, on-site, in day-to-day operations.

What to expect in this role

At Botres, you’re not here to throw buzzwords around. You’ll turn “Can’t you ask your AI to do this?” into something real – a system that runs smoothly, is easy to use, and helps everyone in the company get things done.

Your daily work:

  • Design and implement an internal AI system (based on tools like OpenAI, Azure, M365 Copilot, etc.) that solves actual problems – from calculations to automation to text generation.
  • Work directly with colleagues across departments – focusing on their real workflows, not theoretical use cases.
  • Translate technical needs from engineering and IT into usable AI workflows.
  • Collaborate across departments – cross-functional, practical, international.
  • Build an internal “AI Help Center” – including trainings, guides, and shortcuts so that everyone can work with the system.
  • Test, adjust, and improve – until it really works.

Weekly tasks:

  • Team feedback sessions
  • Prioritising new use cases
  • Exchanges with external partners and service providers

What you should bring

Must-have:

  • Experience with AI systems in a business context (e.g. LLMs, Copilot, AI-powered tools)
  • Technical understanding and strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex processes and turn them into smart solutions
  • A structured way of working and a high sense of ownership
  • Fluent English (B2 or higher)

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, n8n, Zapier)
  • IT or data background (e.g. Python, APIs, databases – not required, but useful)
  • Project management know-how
  • German or additional languages like Spanish or Polish

What’s not enough:

If you just “find AI exciting” but shy away from real tools and processes – this job isn’t the right fit.

What we offer

  • Flexible working: 1 day of home office per week as a rule – more possible depending on the project phase
  • No silos: You’ll work across all departments – and gain deep insight into how the company operates
  • Trust & autonomy: You shape your own project – with support from management
  • Clear communication: We don’t postpone decisions – we make them
  • Ideas welcome: Open meetings, short communication paths, and plenty of space for your input – whether you’ve been here 2 weeks or 2 years

What makes our team special

“No day is like the other – and that’s exactly what I enjoy. When everything runs smoothly in the end, I know why I love my job.”

We work openly and across departments. Engineering talks to HR. Procurement talks to Finance. Because we know: only by thinking together, things really work.

“I appreciate that we stay flexible – but also meet regularly at the office. The best ideas often come up in person.”

Trust grows with every project – and we create space where ownership is possible.

Growth & development

You're not just building a system – you grow with it.
This role can evolve – for example towards becoming a specialist for automating reporting and engineering processes, or towards deep responsibility for data flows, system logic, and digital strategy.

Example: “I started as a project engineer – today I lead automation projects on my own.”

In one sentence:

If you want to build AI that actually works – for the people who use it – you’ll fit right in with us.
